Rest of the World Media introduces new tech startups and their tools to news organizations to help them work together to implement and integrate new tech tools and trends into a media company's daily workflow, digital strategies and business models. From social media to augmented reality, we want to help tech companies and media companies work together and collaborate to scale, expand and strengthen their businesses in the US and around the World. Our goal is to offer creative and innovative solutions that apply the latest and most effective trends in social media, location based services, augmented reality, and mobile, web and print technologies to news coverage. We do this by matching tech companies with media companies all around the World. We perform a thorough analysis of a client's technology and media development capabilities; develop workflows and ways to quickly adopt new tools; help integrate new technologies and digital tools into news coverage and content development and production; and turn clients into fully digital enterprises. We also use our extensive contacts in various regions in the World to match tech projects with local media companies, entrepreneurs, and potential partners, based on a venture's specific needs. We help US-based tech companies jump start their international strategy by finding and entering new markets ahead of the competition, looking for opportunities based on a specific region's characteristics. Our expertise allows us to analyze for each client a region's potential growth, monetization options and partnership options. Likewise, we help U.S.-based Open Source news and information projects expand into countries that can benefit from the proliferation of information and democracy. We look for media partners for a wide variety of Open Source projects – data driven, location-based, mapping, CMS, etc. – and help both technology and media companies execute and implement these projects, to help breach the digital divide.
